Information

Over 1,400 children in the Missouri foster care system are eligible and waiting for a permanent home.

The children who wait are the survivors of abuse and neglect. They are school-aged children, brothers and sisters, children of color and those with disabilities. These children live in a series of foster and group homes. There they wait. They hope for the stability and love of an adoptive family.

A picture is worth a thousand words!

Missouri is among forty-two states across the nation to have an active Heart Gallery.  This nationally renowned, annual exhibit, produced in partnership with the Missouri Department of Social Services Children's Division, features photographs of the children in Missouri who have been waiting the longest for an adoptive family.

The faces of the children featured in the Heart Gallery tell incredibly compelling and highly emotional stories.

Global Connections

A cooperative effort between The Adoption Exchange and Voice for International Development and Adoption expedites the adoption process for military families and US citizens living abroad by providing them with easy access to information, resources and placement services provided by qualified professionals.

PARTNER (Parents as Resources Through Networking & Encouraging Retention)

The PARTNER Program matches experienced adoptive parents with prospective adoptive parents who are enrolled in Missouri's STARS foster/adopt training. By introducing seasoned adoptive parents to prospective parents, we hope that information, support and empathy will emerge as cornerstones of these parent-to-parent relationships.
